We were initially approached by Amanda’s builder to create an oak frame extension for an outdoor kitchen and entertaining area.
HB Oak Frames collaborated once more with Jordan of OSOTIMBER, our trusted Architectural Designer and timber frame specialist, and we feel this partnership was key to bringing this project to life.
Our Director, Rob, met with Jordan at the property to discuss the client’s vision and requirements. After agreeing on a way forward and signing the terms, Jordan began working on the drawings, ensuring close coordination with both HB Oak Frames and the client’s architect and kitchen designer.
This project, situated next to an existing pool house and overlooking the customer’s swimming pool, needed to be both functional and inviting. The highlight of the space is a stunning king post truss, complemented with a mixture of subtle curves and chamfered diagonal struts that demands attention once within the space.
Amanda chose oak sarking above rafters to further complement these finishes and add a touch of luxury, a perfect blend of modern and rustic aesthetics. It's easy to picture this space illuminated at night, with guests enjoying themselves till the early hours of the morning!
The frame installation by HB Oak Frames was completed efficiently within a matter of days and left ready for the builders to integrate with the existing structure and roofline.
We look forward to returning once the build is finished to see the final result. It has been an engaging and thrilling project to be a part of, and we are eager to see the rest of the build progress smoothly.
